We are very pleased to announce that the release of 30 Keeled Box Turtles (Cuora mouhotii) has gone smoothly today (8th June 2017) in Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam. The team has walked a lot of kilometres in the forest to release locations where small groups of animals have been put back out into the wild in suitable habitat. These turtles are just some of those that have been rescued from illegal wildlife trade in Vietnam between 2014 and 2017. All have gone through a period of quarantine and rehabilitation at the Turtle Conservation Centre (TCC) in Cuc Phuong National Park. The staff at the Asian Turtle Program and TCC are so pleased to see these animals back in their natural habitat and we hope you are too.

We have more plans for release of other species throughout the summer, please keep following to see more and find out how you can support.
